Dionysus is the Ancient Greek god of wine, madness and theater.
Euripides' The Bacchae depicts Dionysus's return his birthplace of Thebes, to wreck havoc on those who deny he is a god.
Our piece is immersive as well as site-specific.
The physical environment is monumental to our storytelling. The smell of the trees. The sound of the animals. These are ways in which we immerse you in the world of The Bacchae.
Immersive theater is not always participatory, though it can be.
Our actors will engage you. The extent to which you engage back is up to you, although we will say that the most adventurous visitors will be rewarded.
Your experience will be unique and individual.
You may see something different than your companions. We encourage you to come with levity, curiosity and a receptive mind.
